Terms of Service
1. Introduction
Welcome to SafeHaus Ghana. By accessing or using our storage facilities, website, or services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the 'Client') and SafeHaus Ghana.
2. Description of Services
SafeHaus Ghana provides secure, climate-controlled indoor self-storage solutions in Ghana. Our services include 24/7 CCTV monitoring, secure access, and various unit sizes for personal and business use.
3. Use of Storage Units
Clients may use their assigned storage unit only for the storage of lawful personal belongings, household goods, documents, equipment, and business inventory.
Storage units may not be used as living spaces, offices, workshops, or for any illegal activity.
Customers are responsible for properly packing, labeling, and securing all stored items.
Prohibited Items
The following items are not permitted inside any SafeHaus Ghana storage unit:

Petrol, diesel, kerosene, or other fuels

Gas cylinders and compressed gases

Fireworks and explosives
-
Toxic, corrosive, or hazardous chemicals
-
Hazardous waste
-
Illegal drugs or controlled substances
-
Stolen or unlawfully obtained property
-
Firearms or ammunition
-
Animals or living organisms
-
Plants
-
Perishable food or food products
-
Items producing odors, leaks, or infestations
-
Batteries and leaking electronics
-
Fuel tanks containing fuel
-
Biological materials
-
Medical waste
-
Radioactive materials
-
Cash, bullion, or negotiable securities
-
Unregistered motor vehicles
SafeHaus Ghana reserves the right to refuse storage or require removal of prohibited items.
4. Payment and Fees
Storage fees are payable in advance on a monthly , as specified in your rental agreement. Failure to pay fees by the due date may result in late fees, denial of access to the facility, and eventually, the exercise of a lien over the stored property in accordance with applicable laws.
- SafeHaus Ghana may require a refundable security deposit at move-in. The deposit may be used to cover unpaid rent, cleaning costs, disposal fees, damage to the unit, lock removal, or other charges permitted under the rental agreement. Any remaining balance will be returned following move-out inspection.
5. Security and Access
While we provide advanced security measures including 24/7 CCTV and access control, SafeHaus Ghana is not an insurer of your property. Access to the facility is restricted to authorized clients during specified hours. You are responsible for keeping your access credentials secure.
- Customers must provide at least forty-eight (48) hours advance notice before accessing their storage unit. Access is granted by appointment only and may require identity verification. SafeHaus reserves the right to deny access where ownership cannot be verified or where safety and security concerns exist.
6. Climate Control
Our climate-controlled units are designed to maintain temperature and humidity within a range suitable for most household and business goods. However, SafeHaus Ghana does not guarantee specific humidity or temperature levels at all times, especially during extreme external weather conditions or power interruptions.
7. Insurance
Clients are strongly encouraged to maintain their own insurance coverage for the property stored within the facility. SafeHaus Ghana does not provide insurance for your stored items and is not liable for loss or damage due to fire, theft, flood, or other casualties.
- Customers are responsible for properly packing, boxing, and protecting their stored property. SafeHaus is not responsible for damage resulting from inadequate packaging, stacking, moisture within containers, pests introduced by stored goods, or customer negligence.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate the storage agreement by providing written notice as specified in the rental contract. Upon termination, the unit must be vacated and left in a clean condition.
- Units with outstanding balances or property left beyond the agreed rental period may be considered abandoned and handled in accordance with applicable Ghanaian law and the rental agreement. Any associated disposal, removal, or storage costs may be charged to the customer.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SafeHaus Ghana shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use of our storage services.
While SafeHaus Ghana employs security measures including CCTV monitoring and controlled access, customers store property at their own risk.
SafeHaus Ghana is not responsible for:

Theft

Fire
-
Flooding
-
Power outages
-
Natural disasters
-
Acts of third parties
-
Damage caused by improper packaging
Customers are encouraged to obtain insurance for valuable items.
10. CCTV and Monitoring
Customers acknowledge that common areas of the facility may be monitored by CCTV and other security systems for safety, security, and operational purposes. Monitoring does not create a guarantee against theft, damage, or loss.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
